Yoga & Karana

Yoga and Karana are two of the five limbs of the Hindu Panchang. The 27 Nitya Yogas describe the auspiciousness of a day based on the combined longitude of Sun and Moon. The 11 Karanas (7 movable + 4 fixed) divide each Tithi into two halves and indicate which half-day activities are favoured.
